Everything for the Headland Yachting website in one place while we build it: pages to review, documents and the tools for trying ideas. Phase 1 goes live by 9 November 2026.

Review these first

  • Video tour of the site (3 minutes) 27 October: the home page, yachts, destinations, journal, About, Site style and the charter enquiry, as they stand
  • Holding page for the live site What headlandyachting.com shows until the full site opens (going live from 30 October): who you are, your experience (the 100+ charters count up), a short enquiry form, the company details, and links to the privacy and cookie policies, which go live with it
  • Home page Video hero and search, then yachts, reviews, destinations, charter advice, Instagram, newsletter, three sample questions (made up for now: please check them) and a sunset call to action
  • About us Your story, both founders with photos and biographies, Emma’s memberships and accreditations (CYBA e-contract, BVI Charter Yacht Society, VIPCA, IYBA: please check these and send us the current BVI Charter Yacht Society badge), and how Google reviews will look (made-up examples for now)
  • Yachts Sample yachts shaped like the CYA feed. Try the search, the date picker and the filters
  • Example yacht page Everything CYA has for a yacht, laid out for guests: key facts as icons (with speeds and year built), the crew with photos, a day’s menu with food photos and the chef’s full sample menu, water toys with numbers, greener-on-board, guest reviews, rates that change with the number of guests, what’s included and ways to book, a deck plan, and more specifications behind “See more”. All sample content until the CYA feed is connected. There’s a Print or save as PDF button in the price panel, and the page prints neatly
  • Contact and charter enquiry One page with a switch between a question and a charter enquiry

Content

  • Destinations 9 guides, from the Virgin Islands to the Grenadines and the Exumas. Drafts for your local knowledge
  • Advice (was Journal) 14 articles on planning, costs, life on board, families and food
  • Legal pages Privacy, cookies, terms and accessibility: drafts, to be checked by a solicitor
  • Home page additions Reviews, an Instagram strip (a demo with library photos) and a newsletter sign-up near the foot of the page
  • WhatsApp chat The round button at the bottom right of every page, with a small “Chat with us” bubble on first visit. A demo until you send us your WhatsApp Business number; it shows whether you’re online from your opening hours. How it works and what it costs: see the WhatsApp document below
  • Easter egg A hidden surprise: click the year at the foot of any page, or type “ahoy” anywhere (not in a box). An egg hatches into a little yacht that sails round the screen and moors in the logo
  • Footer social links Facebook and Instagram icons in the footer. They go to the main sites for now: send us your page addresses when they’re set up
  • Page not found What people see if a link is wrong (this link goes nowhere on purpose)

Try ideas (only you see them)

  • Site style Colours, fonts, corners, a turquoise accent to try, and logos: your round 6 headland is now the site’s own logo (since 1 November the deep-blue sea wraps round the tip of the headland), with the earlier navy circle, rounds 4, 5 and 7 and the light-sky version to compare. Also the header over the home page video and its speed, with your logo shown on Instagram, a business card and more
  • Media library Free and premium photos and videos with prices, now with people enjoying life on board. Fold away any group (it stays as you left it). Make hero shows one on the home page
  • Brand guide Colours, type and components as they stand
